Mircea Cantor – “Modern Totems of Identity” scarf collection
Limited silk scarves crafted in collaboration with INNANGELO
Mircea Cantor, winner of the 2011 Marcel Duchamp Prize and celebrated in the top ten global artists by Journal des Arts (2017), brings his visionary approach to textile design . His 2019 scarf series—“Lava Rope,” “Your Fire Rope Me,” and “Rainbow Rope”—is designed in resonance with his artistic work featuring the motif of rope as a poetic, symbolic, and visual element .
Each scarf is crafted from rare, luxurious silk, deserves meticulous hand-finishing, and is printed in a strictly limited edition (just 100 units per design). Every piece comes numbered, packaged in a distinctive artist-signed box and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity .
Through these scarves, Cantor translates his conceptual themes—identity, transformation, the interplay of restraint and freedom—into wearable art. Echoing his broader oeuvre, the scarves are not mere accessories, but “modern totems of identity, passion, and transformation,” bridging form with poetic feeling .
